Part 1-The Design | 2-Model Making | 3-Making the First Mold | 4-Making the Second Mold | 5-Chopping it up!
I was so tired I forgot to clay up a pour spout on both molds! Had to drill one for each. If you haven't worked with plaster before, I'll tell you, this stuff is hard when dry!
Beauty shot. This is the last time the mold will ever be this white and clean.
All strapped up and filled with slip. Propped the mold up due to its shape so I wouldn't have to burp the mold.
Mold#1 is still heavy despite shaving it down so I needed help lifting the mold to pour out the excess slip. I then cut off the pour spout and left the slip in the mold overnight to let it harden. I didn't want it to collapse on me or dent.
Part 7-Cast on | 8-It's not all smooth | 9-Drill and Dremel | 10-Faster now | 11-Glazing | 12-It works!
